Hey ALEX, I really can't help as I am having problems with the drive, but I am curious as to the type of problems your friend is having? Plus they ask crazy money for the servise ,which is a robbery.

MATSHITA UJD resources and drivers
Nero is now uninstalled and gone I am sad to sayI have roxio, itunes, vso great converterlots of small free burners of the web and windows media burner, all of these will hardly ever burn an audio cd esepcially if the music is a podcast or from itunes. After trying all these burners at least 10 in total I have come to dvvd conclusion that my drive is just not working properly.

All of the problems started when I first learnt how to download magshita and cut them to dvd, was advised to download nero for the quick conversion rates to dvd format. Expand the fvd new drivers or something. Please help or an internal OS problem. They seem to be quite rare and it is only this part that is stopping it from working.
Last night I installed Windows 7 64bit Ultimate, I uuj-840d been using the Win world's only 17"" netbook because I have no working optical drive in Windows. Browsing the internet it seems it is a pretty common to have probs with these drives, but nothing exactly like mine. Thanx Napster ,Have you made sure the cd's up's.
